Oh las vegas..... the SIA trade show comes once a year and is in Las Vegas , that makes sence, the biggest snowbaording and ski trade show held in the middle of a desert 100's of miles away from any sking or snowboarding.... but... you have to admit, when you have the entire snowbaording industry together and there are no obligations except to party... i can't think of a better place then Vegas! We stayed at the hard rock, and only came in for two days... which feels like two weeks by the time you leave because for some reason sleep is something they don't believe in, in vegas.... ha....
so we went to the trade show and stopped by all the booths... forum, smith, dc, etc... said some hello's and talked some nonsense. basically the most common conversation at any trade show goes like this ....
bro 1... " what up dude"
bro 2... " not much, what up bro"
'not much, when did you get here"
"yesterday, you?"
"yesterday, when are you heading out?"
"oh , tommorrow, you?"
"yeah , me too. Are you going to the ......(fill in the blank with favorite sponcer name)......... party tonight?"
"yeah, for sure dude.. I'll see you there!!"
"right on, late man"
"late"
then slap fives and pound the knucks.... now walk two feet and start this same conversation over... continue doing this for three hours then get the hell out of the trade show !!!!!
now you can go to a trade show , ready with all the conversation topics you need , cause they are listed above... thats it.!
Oh yeah, i was nominated for "outstanding performance of the year" at the TWS Awards, so that was really cool! Ken Block and I got nominated for jumping next to eachother with his rally car! pretty sweet... but in the end Terje beat us with his record breaking QP air... oh well, Terje is amazing ,and is my hero, so to get taken out by him is an honor! congrats Terje!
