So remember how i was talking about rails not always being perfect, well we hit this wooden one yesterday that wasn't quite perfect but we decided to film it anyways. It was a pretty big rail, with some kinks, and a drop, (not getting too detailed, cause i dont want to give away all the stuff we're filming for the new video) , but anyways, it was pretty crazy. Well I hit it a few times and after a few tries i drop in and towards the end i was going really really fast on it, and i thought i was going to do it and right then... that spit second shift in weight, my toe edge catches on the wood and I fly head first and fall about 9 feet going really fast out into a street.

It was about 9 or 10 feet solid, and nothing touched the ground before my face... i smashed the right side into an inch or so of snow, then pretty much concrete. My arms then hit and then my ribs crunched, as that point my board hit the ground in a very awkward way and It ripped my knees around contorting them in painful directions. Then i flipped and stopped in a sitting up position grabbing my leg screaming that it was broken. My face was bleeding and I thought my ribs and knee were broken. After laying there for a little while and everyone crowded around me asking if I was okay I realised that my arms and ribs were okay. My face looked bad , but ended up being some small cuts, and a concussion. But.. my knee was hurting really bad. I layed in a snowbank icing it for about 30 min. then realized i had to go to the hospital.

After 3 hours waiting in the emergency room they took x rays and think its a stretched MCL. I am now flying to LAX to see a knee doc in San Diego.

I can barely move my whole body right now, it feels like i jumped out of a second story window straight to my head, which is basically what i did.

This is the part that you don't see in the videos much, hospitals and crutches are just as much part of a year as hitting a good jump. Its kinda crazy, we are payed to get ****** up. but I guess thats all part of it. Like Danny Way says... "you have to pay to play."
